A Step Towards a Clean & Green Hyderabad 🌿

On 20th September, the spirit of community, conservation, and sustainability came alive at Kotha Cheruvu, Kokapet Lake, as over 120 passionate volunteers gathered to celebrate World Cleanup Day. Following the cleanup, a plantation drive was organized along the lake bund. Volunteers, families, and residents planted saplings to strengthen the ecosystem around the lake. Each plant symbolized a promise — a promise to nurture the environment, restore biodiversity, and create a sustainable urban green space for future generations.

The school students also joined in planting saplings, learning firsthand the importance of protecting green spaces and building an eco-conscious community. The lush green saplings now stand as living reminders of the day when the community came together to make a difference..

💧 Lake Restoration and Community Participation

The Kotha Cheruvu restoration project is a shining example of how community involvement can bring back life to neglected urban lakes. Volunteers from local schools, corporate teams, and resident communities came together, armed with gloves, bags, and a strong sense of purpose — to clean the surroundings and protect this precious natural resource.

Their collective effort not only helped in clearing waste but also raised awareness about the importance of keeping our lakes pollution-free and ecologically balanced.
