Project Overview

Reclaiming Neknampur Lake

Once affected by sewage, garbage dumping, water hyacinth, and siltation, Neknampur Lake is being restored through a blend of nature-based solutions, scientific restoration, and community participation.

Our mission is to restore water quality, strengthen biodiversity, and create sustainable green surroundings—transforming a once-degraded waterbody into a thriving urban ecosystem once again.

Our Restoration Process

Scientific Study

We conducted water tests, identified pollution sources, and mapped lake conditions to design a data-driven restoration plan.

Floating Wetlands

We installed plant-based floating treatment wetlands that naturally filter pollutants, stabilize water quality, and support biodiversity.

Floating Aeration

Floating aerators enhance water movement and boost oxygen levels, supporting quick and more natural recovery of the lake area too.

Habitat Restoration

Native plants and strengthened shorelines restore natural habitats and support a healthier lake ecosystem.

Community Engagement

Volunteers, schools, and residents joined awareness sessions and clean-up drives, building collective responsibility for the lake.

Sustainable Monitoring

Regular assessments, plantation care, and seasonal upkeep ensure long-term protection and preserve the revived lake ecosystem.
