OUTDOOR ECO ACTIVITY

Light Up a Greener Celebration

Create beautiful handmade lanterns from natural and upcycled materials while discovering a more creative, mindful, and sustainable way to celebrate.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Creating Greener Celebrations

The Eco-Friendly Lantern Making Workshop is a hands-on sustainability activity led by Dhruvansh, bringing together students, families, volunteers, and community groups to create beautiful lanterns using natural and upcycled materials.

Participants learn to transform recycled paper, bamboo, jute, fallen leaves, pressed flowers, and natural dyes into unique handmade lanterns. The activity combines traditional creativity with environmental awareness, encouraging participants to rethink how festive decorations are made and discarded.

The initiative promotes zero-waste celebrations, reduces dependence on plastic and non-recyclable decorations, and turns an enjoyable craft experience into a meaningful lesson in sustainable living.
